About Slip Patrol

What is Slip Patrol and how does it prevent slips and falls?

Slip Patrol is a professional non-slip floor treatment company in Florida that specializes in slip and fall prevention. Our treatment creates an invisible micro-tread on hard mineral surfaces to increase traction when the floor is wet. The result: safer floors, fewer injuries, and stronger liability protection.

What flooring types can Slip Patrol treat?

We can make the following surfaces more slip resistant:

  • Ceramic and porcelain tile
  • Concrete, terrazzo, and polished concrete (where applicable)
  • Marble, granite, and other natural stone
  • Enamel bathtubs and showers
  • Outdoor areas, pool decks, ramps, and entryways

Our process enhances floor safety without changing the appearance of the surface.

Will my floors look different after treatment?

No. The Slip Patrol treatment is invisible. It does not leave a film or coating. You keep the same color and finish — the only change is that your floors are safer when wet.

Slip & Fall Safety and Compliance

Why is floor slip resistance so important?

Slips and falls are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries and one of the most common premises-liability claims. Wet tile, stone, and concrete surfaces often test below recommended safety levels. Increasing the Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF) reduces accidents, claims, and insurance exposure.

How does Slip Patrol verify that my floors are safer?

We test your floors using a BOT-3000E tribometer. This device measures the DCOF and is accepted for ANSI A326.3 and TCNA slip resistance testing. We can test before and after treatment and provide a written report.

What is a safe DCOF for wet floors?

According to the Tile Council of North America (TCNA), a DCOF of 0.42 or higher is generally considered safe for many wet walking surfaces. Our goal is to bring your surface up to or above that mark whenever the material allows.

Non-Slip Floor Treatments & Testing

How is Slip Patrol different from anti-slip paint or tape?

Paints and tapes wear off. Slip Patrol’s process chemically modifies the surface to create a lasting micro-tread. It stays invisible, it doesn’t peel, and it works in high-traffic areas.

How soon can we walk on the floor?

Almost immediately. Our process is designed for commercial and hospitality environments where downtime is expensive.

Do you offer slip resistance testing only?

Yes. If you only need a BOT-3000E slip test or a DCOF report for insurance, legal, or corporate safety requirements, we can provide testing as a standalone service.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Do I need special cleaners after the treatment?

No. You can continue to use your normal floor cleaning products. Regular cleaning actually helps maintain the slip-resistant result.

Can Slip Patrol be used outdoors?

Yes. Our treatment works indoors and outdoors, including in Florida’s humid and rainy conditions — perfect for pool decks, exterior walkways, restaurant entries, ADA ramps, and condo common areas.

Legal, Insurance & Liability

How does slip testing help protect my business?

Documented DCOF results from a BOT-3000E test show that you took reasonable steps to provide a safe walking surface. This can support you in premises liability cases, insurance audits, and internal safety reviews.

Are your tests aligned with industry standards?

Yes. We follow ANSI A326.3 and TCNA guidelines, which are widely recognized in the flooring and construction industries.
